Dr. Karen Murtaugh
MD, MSc, CCFP, Dip. Sport Med.
Primary Care - Sport Medicine
Dr. Murtaugh has practiced primary care sports medicine since completing a sports medicine fellowship at McMaster University in 2007. She began her practice at the Levy- Elliott sports medicine clinic in Burlington. Sports medicine has provided the perfect opportunity to combine her medical training with a personal and academic interest in sport. Karen enjoys working with active individuals of all ages and levels and the treatment principles for athletic injury can be applied to anyone with joint or muscle pain.
Before entering medical school, Dr. Murtaugh received an Honors Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Western Ontario. She continues to be involved in research and she has several publications on biomechanics and injury epidemiology. Karen competed as a varsity and provincial athlete in field hockey. She coached at U.W.O. and Queen’s University where she attended medical school. She remains active in field hockey and enjoys many recreational activities. Dr. Murtaugh completed her family medicine training (CCFP) at McMaster in 2006. She holds her Diploma in Sports Medicine from the Canadian Academy of Sports Medicine (CASM) and has been certified in Advanced Cardiac (ACLS) and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS).
Daniella Diniz

Daniella graduated from the University of Western Ontario’s physiotherapy program in 2001 where she was the recipient of the University Gold Medal Award in Physiotherapy. Prior to this she graduated with High Distinction from the University of Toronto in 1998 with an Honours Bachelor Of Science Degree in Biology & Forensic Sciences. She is also qualified to practice Acupuncture, the training for which she completed at McMaster University (Medical Acupuncture Program). Daniella currently resides in Milton where she looks forward to pursuing her interest in developing programs for runners and golfers.
Lisa Clifford

Lisa graduated from Queen’s University Master’s in Physical therapy program in 2010. Prior to this she graduated with Highest Honour from McMaster University with an Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology. There she was a Student Therapist for the varsity wrestling team and women’s soccer team. She is currently pursuing completing her manual therapy levels as well as acupuncture training through Canadian Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute (CAFCI). Lisa has an extensive background in sport formerly participating in competitive swimming, fastpitch and currently enjoys running and CrossFit.

Elisa Harrison graduated from the University of Waterloo with an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology and a minor in Human Resources Management in 2000. She went on to graduate from the University of Western Ontario where she received her Professional Certificate of Pedorthics in 2002. Now, as a Certified Pedorthist (Canada), Elisa currently works in Milton, Collingwood and Guelph. In her free time, she keeps busy with her two kids and enjoys making jewellery, sewing and playing ultimate frisbee.
Christine Stevenson
B.Sc. (P.T.), B. Sc. (H.B.)
Christine graduated from Queens' University in 2001 with an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy. Prior to that, she completed her Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology at the University of Guelph.
She is a Part A manual therapist and successfully completed her Intermediate Manual and Manipulative Therapy Certification in 2008. Christine has completed acupuncture training through the Canadian Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute and is a member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and its Orthopaedic Division.
